You are here:

What is the need addressed?

By clicking the Upload tab, you can access this section to upload, manage and, thanks to the Smartcontent tool, even create content for your project.

Upload the different types of content

Using the Upload option, you can upload files to the Portal and add other content, such as Widgets and Web Content.

Capture device

Formats accepted by the system

The system accepts the vast majority of common video formats, with or without sound (movmp4flvwmvmpg), image formats (gifjpg, jpegpng), and Flash (swf) and HTML files.

Image formats Video formats Flash format HTML format
.gif .jpg .jpeg .png
.mov. mp4. flv. wmv. mpg .avi
.swf
.html

Auto Encoder: The Admira portal has an encoder that optimizes content performance. If a content parameter is not suitable (weight, codec, format…), the server will automatically convert it to an optimized format for broadcast.

Note

For more information on accepted file formats and technical requirements, visit this article.

Upload content to full screen or Flash/HTML with attachments

When you upload a file using the options “Full screen” or “Flash/HTML + attachments”, you will see this screen:

Upload file

Upload attachments for a Flash/HTML

  • 1
    Name the file
  • 2
Add a brief description of the content. It also allows you to generate a QR code, but we’ll come back to that later (Opcional)
  • 3
Set content start and end date
    * By default, the start date is the current day, and it does not expire
  • 4
Set content start time and end time
    * By default, it is 00:00 in both cases
  • 5
On the Playlist tab, select the preset playlists where the content should appear
  • 6
Using the Blocks tab, select the preset blocks where the content is to be placed
  • 7
Follow the same selection process for the tabs Criteria and Categories
    * The broadcast mode tab will be included in the near future to improve usability
  • 8
    Search for local content
  • 9
You can do a multiple file upload by adding search fields
  • 10
Upload the file to the system

Note

In the case of "Flash/HTML+ attachments", on the right there will be an option to upload .swf/.html attachments.

Attachments (.xml, .txt, .jpg, etc.) for Flash content can be uploaded and deleted independently of the .swf/.html file (i.e. without the need to use “Flash/HTML + attachments”) using the “Attachments” option, provided that the Flash or HTML content has been uploaded to the system beforehand. Files are linked whenever Flash/HTML content is referenced (therefore, they must keep the same name).

Simply choose the Flash/HTML content already uploaded whose attachments are to be modified.

Once selected, you will see this screen:

Upload File
  • 1
    Choose existing Flash/HTML content
  • 2
    List of current attachments
  • 3
    Add Attached URLs
  • 4
    Add Attachments
  • 5
Choose the required Criteria and Category Tags. (Optional)

Note

In the case of "Flash/HTML+ attachments", on the right there will be an option to upload .swf/.html attachments.

When adding content via capture devices (cameras, DVB-T, TV…), several fields must be defined.

Capture device

Video and Audio IDs can be obtained by pressing D on the Player (while playing). This will display a list of the devices connected to the Player and their IDs.

A webcam or any capture device compatible with Flash Player can be connected, allowing you to capture content from a DVD or a DVB-T signal (via the output of a TV, from which you can control the broadcast, for example).

Note

When using a video capture, we recommend the SVEON stv40.

Note

It is recommended that you use this type of content with the functionality of templates

Web Content

When uploading Web Content, you must specify the URL and length of the content.

The web page will be displayed in the same way as it is when accessed through a browser, but in full screen (i.e. without the address bars, menu or tools).

Widgets

There are currently five Widget content types

  • RSS: Plays an RSS Feed given its URL
  • Clock: Displays the current time in full screen
  • Date: Displays the current date in full screen
  • Weather: Displays weather information for the specified city
  • Twitter: Displays the latest tweets for a given user account
